Effective Date: July 30th, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern any website build and/or ongoing support plan purchased from Bateman Web Design ("we," "us," "our"). By signing up for a build package or support plan, you ("Client") agree to these Terms.

## 1. Services

We offer one-time website build packages and ongoing monthly support plans, as described on our pricing page at the time of purchase. Current build packages range from single-page sites to full multi-page builds, and a Standalone option that does not require a monthly support plan. Current support plans (Care and Growth) include hosting and a set number of included edits per month, as described below.

## 2. Payment

Build packages are billed according to the pricing in effect at the time you sign up. Support plans are billed monthly, starting from the date your site goes live, and continue until cancelled.

Missed Payments: If a monthly support payment is missed, you will have 3 months from the date of the first missed payment to bring your account current. If payment is not received within that window, your site will be taken down until the account is settled.

Buyout Option: If you'd like to leave the monthly support model entirely, you may buy out the remainder of what a Standalone build ($2,999) would have cost, based on what you've already paid toward your build package. For example, if you've paid $999 toward your build, you may pay the remaining $2,000 to own your site outright with no further monthly obligation.

## 3. Included Edits & Overage Billing

The Care and Growth plans each include a set number of small edits per month. A "small edit" includes things like:

- Text updates

- Photo swaps

- Hours and pricing changes

- Adding or updating testimonials

Edits that go beyond this scope (such as new page builds, major layout changes, or a full content rewrite) may be quoted separately. Edit requests beyond your plan's monthly included amount are billed at $25 per additional edit.

## 4. Website Ownership & Domain

Unless otherwise agreed, we may register and manage your domain on your behalf as part of your build, or you may provide your own domain. While you are on an active support plan, we host and maintain the site on your behalf. If you cancel your support plan or exercise the buyout option above, ownership and hosting responsibility for the site and domain transfer according to what's agreed at that time.

We reserve the right to showcase completed websites in our own portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.

## 5. Cancellation

Support plans can be cancelled at any time. There is currently no minimum term required.

## 6. Referral Program

We offer a $50 referral reward when someone you refer signs up for a build package, paid out once their initial deposit is received. To receive credit for a referral, let us know at the time the new client signs up, referrals are tracked manually and must be reported to be credited.

## 7. SEO & Advertising Services

Basic SEO best practices are applied to all sites we build (such as page titles, meta descriptions, and page speed considerations). We do not guarantee any specific search engine ranking or result.

If you engage us for ad management services (Google Ads and/or Meta/Facebook Ads), a monthly management fee applies in addition to your ad spend, which is paid directly to the ad platform. We do not guarantee specific advertising results.

## 8. No Guarantee of Results

While we build every site to be fast, mobile-friendly, and professional, we do not guarantee any specific business outcome, including but not limited to leads, sales, search rankings, or traffic.

## 9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Bateman Web Design's liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you've paid us in the preceding 3 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

## 10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
